Directed by the Trade Office of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in Macao SAR (LOCPG) and supported by MOFCOM’s Trade Development Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the “Trade Development Bureau”), the MGS Entertainment Show 2019 was jointly hosted by the Macau Gaming Equipment Manufacturers Association (MGEMA), Nam Kwong Culture and Creativity Industry Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Nam Kwong”) and China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sinomachint”) at The Venetian Macao Convention Center on November 12th.
Guests in attendance at the opening ceremony included Yao Jian (deputy director of LOCPG), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes (director’s representative of the Secretariat for Social Affairs and Culture), Huang Guang (Counsel of the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office’s International Cooperation and Exchange Division), Jin Hong (Deputy Director General of the Trade Development Bureau), He Jinglin (Deputy Representative of the National People’s Congress), Zhong Yi (Acting Chairman of Macao Foundation’s Administrative Committee), Chen Dafu (Director of the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau), Liu Guanhua (Chairman of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute’s Administrative Committee), Dai Jianye (Director of the Macao Economic Bureau), Feng Ruomei (Head of the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau of Macau’s School Administration Department), Fu Jianguo (Chairman of Nam Kwong), Chen Jie (President of MGEMA), Ma Zhiyi (Chairman of the Science and Technology Development Fund’s Administrative Commission), Sun Jiaxiong (Chairman of the Macao Productivity and Technology Transfer Center) and Lu Deheng (Sinomachint’s CFO).
The show presented seven themes across a floor space of nearly 20,000m2, including leisure technology, game devices, e-sports, security systems, comprehensive holiday purchasing conferences, hotel supplies and environmental protection. Among them, a great highlight was that game device manufacturers from countries and regions including Macao, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, Sweden, Malaysia and the United States exhibited the latest leisure and entertainment equipment, corresponding technologies as well as cultural and art collections.

In addition, the “High-tech and Lifestyle Products Import Promotion Event” was sponsored by the Trade Development Bureau and co-organized by Sinomachint alongside Nam Kwong as part of the show. At this event, the import promotion and demonstration zone was set, which was aimed toward stronger partnership of domestic and global enterprises as well as the higher efficiency of the MGS Entertainment Show. As such, Macao is set to play an even better role as a crucial trade and exhibition center among Portuguese-speaking and Southeast Asian countries, thus contributing to open, inclusive, balanced and widely beneficial globalization.
The past six years have witnessed a better, more fruitful and globally influential MGS Entertainment Show, which has already served an important role as a vital platform of the latest technological achievements, tourism and leisure ways as well as tourism products. As a plurality leisure exhibition pioneer in Asia, this show, as a firm supporter of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, has actively developed stronger cultural ties based on Macao’s development positioning as “a center, platform and base”.
Sinomachint’s Managing Director Jiang Junde and relevant personnel of the International Exhibition Department were also in attendance at the events mentioned above.
